So we researched online, and we found that we need to take the I-797 that is sent by USCIS to DPS. It’s a “Notice of Action” document. We also took all forms of ID, lease with name on it, utility bill with name/address, bank statements with name/address.
It also said online that we needed to go there and ask for the Social Security Affidavit (because no SSN).
Conclusion was them refusing to do my wife’s ID (she’s married to me, US citizen) because we had ticked “yes” on wanting an SSN number. We never read anything like that so wanted to seek advice here. Is this really true or they were speaking from their behinds?
