I want Stroud and Smith-Njiba

Smith-Njiba had 1600 yards in 2021 during Stroud’s first season starting. More than Garrett Wilson and Olave.

Bryce is going #1 and I don’t want to give up our treasure trove of draft capital to be that team. Stroud is a really good QB prospect that easily could become a franchise QB.

Let’s take him at 2 and reunite him with his old favorite target. Ja’marr Chase sat out his entire junior season as well and that worked out good with Burrow….

I wish free agency was after the draft

Then we could sign a quality ‘bridge’ QB if Bryce isn’t available at 2.

I want Bryce, but if we can’t have him I’d rather go Jalen Carter at 2 and WR/best defensive player at 12 and sign Jimmy G or Derek Carr.

But since free agency starts a month before the draft, Carr/Jimmy will likely be signed and we might feel pressed into taking Stroud/Levis at 2 or have no choice but to roll with Mills again.

If our front office loves Stroud, I’d be fine with them taking him at 2 if Bryce goes 1, but id rather us take Carter/Anderson at 2 then reach.

Hopefully we have clarity on what the Bears will do prior to free agency beginning

Are we seriously OK giving up a 1st for Payton?

I don’t understand the enthusiasm around giving up a 1st for a head coach.

The Texans have so many issues and we need to infuse young talent all over the roster.

Sean Payton had great success in New Orleans with a HOF QB, but he’s not a sure thing. No coach is. Why would we unnecessarily give up the 12th overall pick when we could hire a promising young coach and NOT give up a top 12 pick?

The NFL is littered with young head coach success stories right now. Let’s hire Demeco, Gannon or Ben Johnson and keep our 2 firsts
