Swiping through tinder and bumble, I see a bunch of people say they love the city. Why? Really, what is so great about this city?

Please use concrete examples, and something more than NRG, museums, Barbarella, food, and cheap living. Every city has some crap like these.

In NYC I landed at random act collective parties and comedy clubs that were regularly featured on tv, without even trying. In chicago it was easy to find underground game developer parties, and everyone would show off their games. I mean, it was really easy to find unique and fun things to do.

I've never heard any details about what is actually unique about Houston. Everyone seems to breeze over it with "plenty to do". Well, what? Prove to me houston isn't just an endless strip mall...
