I’m sitting in my house in Katy and hear sirens and vehicles for what sounds like ages but was more realistically a few minutes. Had to have been a dozen or more cars. 10 minutes later gunshots obviously in the distance. Anybody know what’s going on?

*Edit – now helicopters circling. Close to 10 and 99/Cinco ranch area?

Outside of fun things to do around the house, where can we go? What can we do? My child was born just before the pandemic began, and while I’m not ready to start taking him to crowded indoor events (arcade, race car tracks, etc) is there anything mentally stimulating we can do as a family while being careful?

Sister got a 4 year old dog from BARC, took it home and he didn’t do well with her old boxer. Less than 2 days later BARC refuses to take him back. She cannot keep the dogs in the house together moving forward. What other options can I help her find? He’s sweet and beautiful, unless her boxer is around. She’s a total mess. She picked him up after her other boxer was killed while on a family vacation. This is too much, and I need to get him moved for her.

I’m curious how we can help each other, but I don’t know the specific struggles being faced. I have a decent job that has kept me working and my rent paid. I know it’s not like that for a lot of people but I don’t know where to focus my time/energy. Food I’m sure is an issue for those struggling, or will be struggling soon. What else?
