Good Morning. I was wondering if anyone has had success as a walk-in at the DPS. Everything’s booked out and I’m itching to get my license asap. Parents’ work schedule is making it impossible to find an appointment. How early do the same-day late afternoon appointments for walk-ins fill up, or does anyone have a recommendation for third-party companies?

I’m trying to get my driver’s license permit. The online appointments are backed up until next year, and I’m trying not to wait that long. Does anyone know if I can just show up at a DPS office with all the paperwork early in the morning? Some parts of the website say some limited same-day appointments are available.

My phone call to the DPS is going on 2 hours now I’m losing my mind

Also just wanted to point out the DPS website sucks.
