I get that water infrastructure costs money and I don’t mind paying a water bill. But I don’t understand why the cost for the first 1000gal is $1.27, the 2nd thousand is $1.27, the third is $1.27, and the fourth 1000 jumps to $21.96, and the fifth 1000 falls back to $6.44. What’s so special about 4000 gallons that it’s worth so much more than the first 3000 gallons or anything after?
