So a client mailed us a check with the business name on it and somewhere in-between it leaving their hands and being given to the post office, someone grabbed it. I get a call from BoA ( it was real but really strange ) asking us if we deposited a business check into a personal account. We use Chase so I say no and then he ask me if I know someone ( fake name probably ) named Adam Cantu. Nope, I dont.

Well this dude grabbed a check with our name on it, signed the back and put on it "For BoA Deposit Only" deposited in an ATM and I'll be damned if it cleared with a +$1k amount. There was 5 days between the day it cleared and the day I get the phone call. Now I'm working through the massive amount of steps I have to go through to get the money retrieved which involved a police report, afadavite, notary and an entire explanation of the banking system our client used to prove we didn't commit the fraud.

Literally walked into BoA and asked, really, is that all it takes? All I need is an account and I can deposit anything I want through an ATM. The answer was yes, and I'm sitting their baffled being like, holy s**t, this is a broke system. The ATMs are automatic and the damn thing cleared and all that was lost was a fake bank account to make off with a good amount of cash use ng some dead person or unlucky person that lost their info.

Our complex had 17 cars broken into and even though I had $10 bucks in the glove box, they didn't even take it. Apparently they were looking for IDs and SS numbers and now I know why, you set up an account online, steal someones checks, sign it and your done, cash is gone and all that is left is a massive trail of steps and the amount of time it takes for the bank to admit it was wrong and give back the stolen money at a loss.

Our mail lady said it's because these douche bags steal keys to blue boxes and they raid the mail. Literally that is all it takes to steal massive amounts of money from someone actually worked for. I'm sick of it, literally easier to do this and spend money on dirt bikes and four wheelers then it is to be a useful productive citizen. Just livid about it all and sick about how easy it was to steal from someone else. F**k these dudes, I'm tired of all, catalytic converter stolen, car broken into and just surrounded by s**t caused by worthless s**t members of society.
