Read MoreSSIA. I have a pair of exceptionally made, suede-loafers that are 5 years old, but now need some TLC, specially on the sole and fabric. I’ve spoken to several Houston Shoe Doctor locations, but they’ve stated they are backed-up until after the holidays. I’d like to wear the shoes to upcoming family and holiday events so I can’t part for them for that long. I also don’t have the largest personal budget currently, but am willing to drive to any part of the city. Any help or recommendations greatly appreciated!

Subject says it all and the search function didn’t return anything. My friends and I live in the energy corridor and are looking (without much luck) for a weekly hardwood court league to play in. We are average skilled (played high school) and am looking for completive, but not not too competitive options in close proximity to where we live. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I haven’t stumbled across any definitive analysis or write-ups in a very long time and wanted to start a local discussion. I know COVID-19 is at the forefront of all aspects of daily life and has impacted so many O&G markets, but what is the long term prognosis for Houston’s economic health? I feel like we are living in a larger grey are than other cities as our dominant industry is also in decline during this time. All conversation welcome!

I’ve heard of the following scenarios from my friend group and wanted to know if their experiences are universal at this point. I have friends in Upstream through Downstream, engineers to landmen, and so far some have experienced:
1.) Layoffs
2.) Pay Cut reduction
3.) Forced Retirement
I was wondering if anyone had any positive news, as well as finding a non-O&G job in Houston (if you have been laid off) ?
