City Acre to Remain Open https://houstonnewmedia.org/city-acre-to-remain-open/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=city-acre-to-remain-open Wed, 22 Jun 2022 17:27:48 +0000 http://houstonnewmedia.org/?guid=e37928d03e045d921ae1bbd314729ccf

Just announced on their Facebook page

We are thrilled and so grateful to announce that City Acre will be continuing operations under new ownership! The kitchen reopens in July (date TBD), and our taps will continue to flow.

City Acre's new owner is longtime customer Jimmy Garrett, a local solar energy business owner, who says, "The heart and soul of City Acre isn't going anywhere. I'm a big fan of the classics and continuing to welcome customers with the friendliest staff around remains our top priority. I'm excited to try out a few new things, like an expanded menu, increasing air-conditioned space and a wider variety of events and attractions."

The outpouring of love after our closing announcement has meant the world to us. The City Acre family couldn't ask for a better bunch of supporters, and we're thankful that this doesn't have to be goodbye for any of us. We (Matt and Meredith) are excited to see the ways that City Acre will grow and thrive with Jimmy at the helm. Somehow we always knew if anyone was going to save the day, it would be a customer, because we have the best customers on earth. Y'all are going to love what Jimmy has in store for the place.

Cheers to more years!
