Listening to this is honestly infuriating. Their guest, Houston Chronicles music critic Joe(y?) Guerra, is constantly downplaying what went on. He said unconscious girls were getting body surfed out of a show at Fitzgeralds, & that there are always people passing out at festivals… Did they not watch all the real-time tiktok videos & hear all the first hand accounts? People are saying there was a constant stream of unconscious people being surfed out. People were screaming for help before the concert even started. None of it is normal & they are just completely deflecting. He even made a point to say that there weren’t ~actually~ 50k people at the stage. Okay??? Maybe 25k then? What is the point of that argument?

A caller brought up that it was declared a mass casualty event before it ended & they chose to debate the timeline & say, well, what if a riot happened because they canceled the concert?

How out of touch are these people? The city of Houston is grieving. I’ve always been a big fan of Ernie’s show but this one is incredibly disappointing.
