In 2023, the Astros will need a stronger showing from Jose Urquidy and Luis Garcia

This is by no means a fire take, but we will need these two to pitch better in 2023 than they did in ’22. Neither had a terrible year: Urquidy got hit pretty hard, but also got a ton of run support. Garcia had flashes of brilliance (immaculate inning, NLDS game 3), but overall experienced a sophomore slump after an exceptional rookie season. Both were used sparingly in the playoffs.

Now with JV gone, we need these guys to chew up innings and pick up the slack. I know Hunter Brown is the new big hype, but I personally wouldn’t expect a ton out of a rookie. He will be on an innings limit for sure. Thoughts?
