Read MoreLet’s keep everything in context for where this team is right now. They do not want to fire another head coach. Not only would it hurt the development of the team but it would also likely mean that Caserio is a goner.
To make this logic easier to follow-
Imagine we hire Ryans and he brings along Anthony Lynn, which is very possible. Let’s say Lynn stinks. It’s easier to fire him than it would be to fire Steichen if he stinks. Then you can try someone else from a similar system or the same system like Bobby Slowik. If Lynn is good and gets poached then you can immediately elevate someone on staff to OC to keep the same system or take another from the Shanahan tree. However if you hire a guy like Steichen and he’s bad, you’re kinda out of luck and will have to fire another head coach.
