City of Houston mailed me a first, second, and final notice (all marked 3/25/22) demanding payment on a parking ticket I allegedly received in 2014 (I don’t remember ever getting one). They are demanding $338. I am wondering 1) is there a statute of limitations on parking tickets? and 2) if not, how do I challenge this? Do I need a lawyer? It seems like I should have been notified eight years ago…

I’m curious what other parents/students/teachers think of HISD’s return to school plan on October 19th. My kids are staying home (as I’m not working at the moment), but this idea that teachers can manage both in-class student attendance AND online student instruction AND the management of both at the same time, all without contracting COVID themselves and leaving the students teacherless, seems impossible. I would love some perspective on how this might work, because I’m really not seeing it.
