Ideal Offseason Scenario

r/NFL_Draft posed the question what is the ideal offseason scenario for everyone’s NFL team, so it got me thinking what does everyone on this sub think about that for the Texans in 2022. Here’s what I believe.

  1. Trades – Deshaun for a generous package of high draft picks and/or young player(s) + Brandin Cooks for a starting caliber vet or a couple mid round picks
  2. Staff – Move on from HC David Culley and OC Tim Kelly
  3. Contract Extensions– Resign S Justin Reid + QB Tyrod Taylor + 1 of the RBs on the team, let a lot of players walk, and get back into a comfortable spot with cap space
  4. FA– Add a vet OL + LB
  5. Draft– Invest heavily in the secondary, WR room, and OL. Bring in a mid to late round RB to try to bring some stability to the RB room over the next few years.
