I am in Houston next week in the Westchase area (Sam Houston/Beltway and Westpark Tollway). Usually take back some brews for shares. Ideally, I can find one of the following:

• A few good breweries in close proximity - it looks like there aren't any huge clusters, but I see Urban South near Holler, Buffalo, and Platypus.

• A good bottle shop not too far from Westchase that would have a decent local variety of better beers (or grocery if local groceries carry a good selection).

I am all over the board as far as styles. The group tends to gravitate towards either IPAs (clean or hazy) or stouts (esp. barrel aged), but can go other directions if there is something really good (example: We have Barrique here in Nashville which does great open barrel sours).
