I saw this question was last asked about 2 years ago. I haven't cut my hair in probably a good 7 years at least. I have very thin hair but at its longest it's down to my butt. I've been finding it difficult to take care of and I have probably 8 inches worth of split ends. I know I should get it cut but I'm kind of scarred from a walmart cut I had when I was younger where it wasn't even cut straight. My hair is my security blanket and I'd really like to find a reliable stylist so I can start getting my hair to a healthier place.

Thank you for your help.

Anyone have ideas for the best way to reuse grocery store plastic bags? https://houstonnewmedia.org/anyone-have-ideas-for-the-best-way-to-reuse-grocery-store-plastic-bags/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=anyone-have-ideas-for-the-best-way-to-reuse-grocery-store-plastic-bags Mon, 09 Nov 2020 18:03:57 +0000 http://houstonnewmedia.org/?guid=a17941b0f98cb68b00f8e3b95c686d26

I know I can't personally make a huge difference to climate change but that doesn't stop me from trying to reduce my own usage and recycle things as much as possible. My family is beyond annoyed with me but whatever. I've gotten a few walmart curbside pickup orders and they seem to bag nearly every item individually. I hate to use the plastic grocery bags at all let alone that many but I have bad allergies that get to the point of nonstop sneezing/coughing/runny nose. Obviously doesn't make a great situation for me to be in a mask at the grocery store while looking and sounding like a walking virus. So curbside has been a useful alternative.

What's the best way to reuse those bags? Can they be dropped off at any stores who would reuse them? I'm really aiming for reuse over recycling since the bags tend to be in new condition anyway. Thanks everyone

Are there any non americanized Chinese restaurants north of 610? https://houstonnewmedia.org/are-there-any-non-americanized-chinese-restaurants-north-of-610/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=are-there-any-non-americanized-chinese-restaurants-north-of-610 Wed, 20 May 2020 00:30:27 +0000 http://houstonnewmedia.org/?guid=f4fe3df4ecf82668c8154fd3ca015478

I live up near the Woodlands and cannot seem to find any Chinese restaurants comparable to those in China Town. All I found was menus with stuff like general tso chicken and lo mein. That's fine if you're in the mood but I want to find places with stuff like xiao long bao and dan dan noodles. I'm happy to support the small businesses in China Town especially now but it took me over an hour to get back home when I got take out last week while I was in the area for a doctor appointment.

There's plenty of sushi, ramen, japanese, vietnamese, etc restaurants that are good. I just couldn't find any Chinese restaurants. Thanks guys :)
