I think I found the happy medium for a freeway speed limit. 72 mph. I would argue that going 72 mph is fast and safe enough to be driving around the freeways. This might be an unpopular opinion but I would say to try it out, when there's no traffic after all and if you're lucky enough to not find yourself in a jam.
