Our son is 18mo old. Luckily it looks like there will be a Protective Order put in place and she'll remain in custody in the mean time. But I need to begin divorce proceedings as soon as possible so I can get custody sorted out before the Protective Order ends.

I'm now obviously down to a single income. My son is autistic so his daycare takes most of my income. I don't even know where to begin with affordable attorneys because in my experience, the "affordable" label is usually a scam. Does anyone have any recommendations? It would be hugely helpful. I really appreciate any help anyone can provide.
