I haven't driven on Kirkwood south of I-10 for a few years, so I was just shocked at its appalling condition when I was driving there this morning.

Large potholes, terrible asphalt patches, just generally dilapidated state for a major road.

Nearby major streets like Wilcrest seem to be in much better shape. Why is Kirkwood so singularly awful?
