We were lucky enough to be invited to an early screening and Q&A of Facing Nolan – a documentary from the perspective of hitters who faced Nolan Ryan, and a lot of behind the scenes looks at the Ryan family. All around it was one of the best sports documentaries I’ve seen. Ticks all of the boxes – humor, feelings, stats, awesome archive footage, and a lot of anecdotes I knew nothing about. It premiers nationwide in theaters on May 24th and it’s a must-see for any baseball fans.

In the theater we had Jose Cruz, Phil Garner, Nolan, Ruth and Reid Ryan, a who’s who of Houston media personalities. After the showing Nolan and his wife Ruth and the filmmakers did a Q&A with the audience. It was quite the night.
