Location is tentative, if anyone is willing to provide a space to a hand full of nerds, please reach out

Ideally it would be downtown Houston so everyone would have an easier time reaching the location

Building 5, Room 1551

Here is a LinkedIn post for the event

I am beginning to network for this months Tech Talk event. I learned a lot from the previous event so I hope to iterate on our existing formula.

This months event will revolve around legal challenges in technology. Avoid signing a contract without understanding their remote work policy, dodge perpetual legal issues when founding a startup, understand what to look for when reading an NDA, and make an informed decision on which specific open source license is best for your current project.

All these questions and more will be answered in this months meetup.

As usual, there will be a giveaway for this month. Though, it will be only revealed upon arrival :p

I am looking for sponsors for this months event so feel free to reach out if you’re interested.

Houston Tech Meetup

Howdy,

I am going to be hosting a tech meetup on July 19th at 7:00PM or 19:00

Fields of interests could range from: the latest mobile device, software engineering, hacking, architecture, electrical engineering, electric vehicles, or any other topic nerds enjoy!

Provisions:

Location: I live on the eastern side of greater Houston so I will confirm with my venue before advertising. (If anyone has a space they would like to provide, DM’s are open)

Pizza – https://www.luigispizzeria.pizza/

Keyboard Giveaway – I will do a raffle style giveaway at most events. This occasion includes a keyboard featuring cherry mx brown switches, keycaps, and a luxury braided cable. All IRL attendees will be provided an opportunity to win.

The keyboard has a hot swappable pcb which accepts most MX style switches

Malware Presentation (20:30/8:30PM) – I have a master degree in cyber security and have been working as a security engineer in Germany for a bit. I will be delivering a short presentation on malware analysis and malware, generally. Maybe I’ll even talk about my own malware, if you’re lucky 😉

Ping Pong Tables (if all goes as planned)

You don’t have to be a person working in technology to attend. Anyone interested in meeting new people and talking shop in person is more than welcome to join!
