Two Addresses, No Clue Which To Choose

For one weekend in Early October, I am stuck between choosing, (A) Arthur St and Ruthven St., and (B) Banks St and Mt. Vernon St. My priority in this trip is to see the Rothko Chapel, and the NASA Museum. Ideally, I would like to avoid a personal car, so public transpo is necessary. Negatively, both locations are by the freeway, which suggest it may be noisy? This is where I’ll need your expertise.

As far as comparisons go, the major advantage with A, is that it is close to the Amtrak Station, so I can conceivably walk to the Amtrak on Sunday, which negates any reliance on transpo. However, I don’t know how close it is to any major transportation line. Meanwhile, with B, correct me if I am wrong, it is closer to a transportation line that can head to Downtown Houston, and it is walking distance to the Rothko Chapel. However, it is pretty far from the Amtrak, so I will have to rely on public transpo on the day I leave.

As far as heading to the NASA museum, I’m thinking I could travel as far as I can using public transpo, and then take an Uber to the museum. Other than that, I suppose when the museums are closed, between A and B, which locations best serve a solo traveler with things to see and eat?

With all that in mind, where would you stay? Thank you.
