Concierge Medical Services in Houston?

Forgive me if this is not the right place to post. My mother (73) participates in a “concierge medical service” here in Houston where she supposedly can call her physician at any time day or night and get her on the phone right away. She pays a large annual fee for this (and has for over a decade), and apparently all of her patients must participate in this to be seen by her. A couple of days ago, she had heart pain, called her doctor, who immediately sent her to an urgent care center, then told her that she (her primary care concierge doctor) was not to be consulted further for her care for this episode–she was strictly under the care of the treating physicians at the urgent care center. My mother could come back to her after this was over and see her again for her regular checkups, etc.

I have no problem with her being under the care of the treating physicians at the urgent care, but I have a huge problem with her cutting my mother loose at the time she needed continuity of care most. It feels like a retained lawyer saying “You’re my client before you get arrested, but once you’re in jail I no longer represent you.” Has anyone else had this experience? And, does anyone know a proper “concierge medical service” in town?

Also–my mom is absolutely fine. It was a GI issue, not a heart issue.
