My boss lives in unincorporated Harris county in a home with some land. He has a permit from Harris County for fill dirt and grading on his property.

He will eventually need a 'As Built certificate' once the work is complete to present to the county. He is doing the work by his own farm employees, who are good at using the machines but are not engineers.

Can you recommend an engineer or appropriate, who can guide my boss and his employees to make sure the work is following the guidelines of the proposed plan in the permit, and then issue an as built certificate or refer to someone who can, once the work is complete?

We prefer using a small or independent business. Spanish speaking is highly preferred.

One of the employees who works at my brother's landscaping business near Cypress, TX. The employee earns about $17/hr and his wife earns some cash income as she has a small catering business. They have 2 small children aged 5 and 3.

They have papers.

Do you know of any rental community that is generally safe and has an affordable 1 or 2 bedroom apartment that will not exhaust their monthly earnings?

Or how about a community where they can maybe rent a trailer home?

He wants to find a place for 6 mos to a year before looking into longer term options.

I know about rental finders etc. but he is very stressed and thinking of moving to another state, I just want to help.

My friend is having some home repairs done following the freeze last year. The money has been sent from her home insurance company to her mortgage company.

The mortgage company may require a 'surety bond' from the contractor(s), especially if they are unlicensed. For example if she hires a contractor to do painting and polishing they may not need a license, thus the mortgage company may require a surety bond.

Any leads on where a small contractor business can purchase a surety bond?

Just trying to help the contractor as he is a small business and she would rather give him the proceeds rather than to a large corporation.

I know google will give unlimited results but any leads for local businesses are welcome.

My friend will be giving an engagement ring to her future spouse (female). He is looking to hire a photographer (still in the works) to do a simple photo shoot (maybe 30-60 mins) of him and his girlfriend, when he gives her an engagement ring.

I have heard the Zoo lights are a good option? Is this so? Or where else is 'in season' now?

Prefer to do it somewhere in the Cypress area or else within an hours drive, either towards Woodlands/Huntsville or towards the Houston area, e.g. museum district?

Also any recommendations for an affordable, yet great photographer are welcome!

I have a couple of pieces of artwork, maybe 4ft by 3ft oil and acrylic on canvas that I would like to have framed for the owner.

I know of Hobby Lobby and maybe Michael's, and have read some of the recommendations from a few years ago.

Which stores/individuals do a great job, these are pieces of artwork which the owner has invested a lot of $$$ in.
