I am seeing people who are willing to "turn the page" and still root for the Texans

I really don’t wanna sound like a dick, but this will sound that way.

I feel bad for you dude. You have to understand that as long as Cal is willing to allow Easterby to stay in the building, it’s not going to get better. It doesn’t matter who you bring in to coach or play.

Have you ever worked in a place where there was that one person, who was so toxic to the environment that nobody was happy, and so the whole place just sucked in terms of productivity, and how people got along? I have, and when that tumor of a person is fired or quits; then the place seems brand new. Everyone gets along, work is better all around.

That cannot happen while Easterby is there.

So what we have is a naive owner who is being conned on the basis of his religion (which is fucking insane considering this is a business, not a church) who it seems cannot have common sense beat into his head, so it simply can’t get better.

I mean, can you even wrap your brain around a scenario where you are told “one of the top 3 players in the most important position in all of pro sports, who you have locked in for the future, is unhappy with the culture that stems from this one guy and if you just fire him and are true to the word you gave that player, that player would stay and be happy and make you more money that you can imagine”

and then you go “yeah, but this one guy is the same religion as me and he said he prayed about it and God thinks he should stay, so I am willing to alienate a generational talent of the caliber we will likely never see again on this team”

Dude… It will never get better.

Here’s the deal, I am trying to hold on the slimmest hope that this new coach can do what the Rockets did with Hakeem who wanted to be traded; which was to get him back on their side and he went on to be the greatest player the Rockets will ever have had.

But if they don’t, this team doesn’t deserve a fan base, and I am more than willing to root against Cal and the Texans.

Can we please take a moment and be somewhat reasonable

Every report that this situation is “100% broken with Deshaun” or “unrepairable” or “Deshaun will demand trade” come from “SOURCES” which no one is confident enough to put their names on, especially nothing official from the mouth of Watson or his agent.

there are however articles written by Houston sports writers saying that the team in no way will entertain trading Watson, that he will be involved in the HC process, and that Easterby will have ZERO influence with any personnel or actual football decisions (Cesario will have 100% control over all of that)

How many of us have experienced big changes at our jobs? The kind that make you question whether or not you wanna be there at all? But after some time, and the proper adjustments you see that the changes have been for the better, and you end up happier than you were before?

Point being, this is FIXABLE given the right conversations happen between Cesario and Watson, and I am confident the new HC will bring in a great new energy, culture, and overall vibe. One that Watson will want to be a part of, and thrive in

For those comparing Watson to Harden need to stop. Harden was given everything he asked for on a level that only LeBron has experienced, and he couldn’t win; so he threw a fit and got out. Watson is still on the rise, and isn’t a diva.

I remain hopeful that this will work out. That Watson sits down with Cesario, they get a better feel for each other, develop a great relationship, and a new HC comes in to install a new culture. And I def believe that no matter what the next few weeks brings, they will NOT trade Deshaun.

I really believe Easterby will be gone and here’s why

  • The whole Deshaun thing

  • Now this whole Andre Johnson thing

  • I think whoever they are looking to hire as HC will know about all of this and basically only agree to coach here is Easterby is gone. If I’m a new HC looking to start off on a clean slate and galvanize my roster, I am not going to put up with all this drama.

I think it will be a combo of the three things. And I think the Andre Johnson thing is gonna gain as much traction here and nationally as the DW4 rumors, and put even more pressure on Cal and Cesario to boot him.
