Then in 2022 he is demolishing teams single-handedly. The playoffs are small sample size by nature, it's fine for fans to criticize play...

The Astros can easily afford to extend both Bregman and Tucker, without even raising the payroll. https://houstonnewmedia.org/the-astros-can-easily-afford-to-extend-both-bregman-and-tucker-without-even-raising-the-payroll/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=the-astros-can-easily-afford-to-extend-both-bregman-and-tucker-without-even-raising-the-payroll Fri, 26 Jul 2024 15:47:05 +0000 http://houstonnewmedia.org/?guid=294a451baad21470d424a529bc73b934 There is a ton of money coming off the books by the time Tucker hits free agency after the 2025 season. He's a good player and I'm glad he's on the team. With that said he plays entirely too much. The team has treated him as an everyday player this season and most fans seem to think that's warranted. He has ...

He put up 1.7 fWAR in 112 games last year, that's solid. Having average to slightly below average hitters but great fielders lik...

I'm just talking about the failure within it. Making the ALCS is an incredible achievement, let alone for the 7th consecutive year. This post is not meant to diminish that success. I'...

Here are his stats since joining the Astros: 32 PA, 2 HR,...

Pitch Clock is too Short https://houstonnewmedia.org/pitch-clock-is-too-short/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=pitch-clock-is-too-short Mon, 27 Feb 2023 15:31:35 +0000 http://houstonnewmedia.org/?guid=326bd640d2604c29ec3b02351562b576

Yesterday's game was only 2 hours and 6 minutes. I'm all for an improved pace of play but going to Minute Maid Park just for that is a ripoff. The game feels too rushed. I think 2 1/2 hours is a good minimum.

I think the pitch clock should be increased to 20, maybe even 25 seconds across the board, regardless of runners. This would still be a good, consistent pace of play without it feeling like everyone playing is trying to get the game over with as quickly as possible. What do y'all think?
