Where are some quiet areas to rent within a 30 min commute to downtown on a $1,600/mo budget?

I’m in my late twenties and I don’t care about being close to bars and restaurants, but I’m also not ready for the suburbs. I drive into downtown twice a week for work.

I’m currently renting an apartment near Washington Ave and Yale St, and even though it’s close to plenty of things, including my work, the street noises can make it hard to focus or relax at certain times of the day. I looked at a property that backs up to a graveyard on my apartment search, and lately I've wondered if I should have rented there instead.

If you have experience with specific complexes or areas in general, any advice is welcome.
