Bellaire Town Square will be converted into a winter wonderland with lights, music and snow as the city of Bellaire hosts its annual Holiday in the Park event Dec. 1.

Officials with Vantage Bank, a financial institution headquartered in San Antonio, have announced plans to enter the Houston market before the end of 2022.

In partnership with Panda Express, Texas Children’s Hospital celebrated the unveiling of two new facilities as part of a 10-year, $5.9 million commitment from the restaurant chain to bolster the hospital’s exercise and rehabilitation program.

Lukkaew Srasrisuwan, a co-owner with Thai restaurant Kin Dee in the Heights, announced Nov. 7 new plans to open her second concept, a more upscale Thai restaurant in the River Oaks area in spring 2023.

Proposition E, which would help fund repairs at City Hall and the City Hall Annex Building at Bagby Street in Houston, is the only Proposition with less than 65% approval.

As of the morning of Nov. 9, six of seven propositions passed with 65% of the votes.

With 11 of 782 voting centers reporting in Harris County, Democratic incumbent maintains a 63.4% lead over Republican Ryan McConnico and Libertarian Carol Unsicker in the race for Texas House District 134. 

With 774 of 782 voting centers reporting in Harris County, Johnson has earned 61.4% of the votes, or 48,673 votes.

Officials with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic announced Nov. 7 plans to build a new 26,000-square-foot clinic at 3003 W. Holcombe Blvd., Houston.
