The MOU outlines a cost-sharing agreement for water and sewer infrastructure extensions, roadway connections and other improvements for a development near the intersection of Lone Star Parkway and Hwy. 105, near Home Depot.

The city will make a single payment of $160,327 for the full build-out, with $140,000 reimbursed from a developer, Police Chief Kyle Montgomery said.

 The 8,319-square-foot restaurant is aiming for a fall 2025 opening.

The community offers a selection of one- and two-story homes ranging in size from about 1,489 to 2,322 square feet, with prices starting in the mid-$200,000s.

The apartment complex offers one and two bedroom units with leases ranging from 13-18 months, Community Manager Erin Dobias said.

Conroe City Council named Khanh Ariel Gibbs as the city’s new chief financial officer during its April 1 special meeting.

At its March 27 meeting, Conroe City Council approved $110,000 for Visit Conroe to fund marketing and assistance for four events to attract people to the city.

Duties in the new program range from power-washing sidewalks and streets to awning repairs and curb painting, Deputy City Administrator Nancy Mikeska said during the meeting.
