Unofficial results from the first round of ballots posted by Harris County show 52.43% of votes for incumbent Ed Gonzalez and 47.57% of votes for Mike Knox.

Gonzalez has been re-elected to Harris County sheriff with 781,460 votes against Republican Mike Knox, who garnered 689,469 votes.
