Council approved allotting $51,200 and $5,107 towards Tomball gateway monuments and additional benches and picnic tables for Jerry Matheson Park, respectively, committing all remaining funds ahead of the Dec. 31 deadline.

Unofficial results from the first round of ballots posted by Montgomery County show 71.6% in favor of Proposition A and 43.3% for Proposition B.

Voters approved the creation of the Montgomery Crime Control and Prevention District with 966 votes. However, voters opposed Proposition B with 758 votes against the term extensions for elected officials.
