A big part of why the latter few years of the decade have seen a disproportionate number of giant buyouts is that these whole corporate deals just weren’t as common before then.

The company could save $14.13 million in taxes under the deal.

The incentives would save the company millions of dollars in taxes over the 10-year life of the agreement.

Last November, Brightmark announced it would invest $500 million to $1 billion each to build new plastic recycling plants in select U.S. cities.

This isn’t the first such round of layoffs the company has undertaken this year.

“That was in response to the changing conditions in our markets,” the company’s CEO said in reference to the budget cuts.
