The six workshops will provide opportunities for residents to get information regarding what a home buyout is, how to qualify for a buyout and the steps to apply.

City Manager Jason Stuebe said the lease agreement needed to be ratified by City Council following a review of the agreement with D&M Commercial Leasing for 14 Chevrolet Tahoes. 

According to the Montgomery County Tax Office, homeowners in the city will see on average a $35.30 increase on a property tax bill for a $100,000 home. 

The five-year contract will allow First Class Transportation to continue operating The Woodlands Express buses, and it comes with an option for the board to renew for an additional five years on an individual yearly basis. 

Residents will be able to attend and speak at both meetings regarding any concerns about the county election processes. 

A spokesperson for the company said the new location will house six engineers in a 1,900-square-foot facility that will serve the greater The Woodlands area.
