The WWA launched the new water renewal initiative in September with a community survey gauging the need for long-term water infrastructure.

On Nov. 6, TxDOT officials approved a new toll services agreement with HCTRA to manage toll collections for the Houston and Austin areas, ending the longstanding TxTag service provided through the state for those areas.

Originally founded in 1999, the annual “Hometown Heroes” award is given to individuals and organizations which are nominated by residents of The Woodlands for having a positive impact on the community.

The Woodlands Township early voting results have been released, showing incumbents Brad Bailey and Richard Franks in the lead.

The candidates will be sworn in on Nov. 19 following the official canvass of the vote.

With all 700 voting precincts reporting, Democrat Sean Teare secured a tight victory over Republican Dan Simons for Harris County District Attorney. 

Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack presented the resolution to rename the South Montgomery County Library to the “Heroes of Montgomery County Library.”
