Two candidates are running for Position 3 on Friendswood ISD’s board of trustees.

In November’s general election, residents in Friendswood ISD will have the opportunity to vote on four competitive races for Friendswood ISD’s board of trustees.

Mint Express Car Wash will be opening in mid-October in Pearland, a spokesperson with the company said in a Sept. 14 email.

Bus drivers at Clear Creek ISD have received nearly a $1.50 increase in their starting hourly, according to a Sept. 6 news release from the district.

The School Health Advisory Committee, or SHAC, and School Safety Advisory Committee were approved at Friendswood ISD’s board of trustees’ Sept. 9 meeting.

Alvin ISD approved a policy that restricts parents from using unauthorized audio or visual recordings or transmission of audio or images of their children in class to protect the privacy of other students.

Special services for elementary students in Clear Creek ISD will receive additional staffing to help meet needs from increased enrollment after the board of trustees approved the measure on Sept. 9.

Increased funding, meeting student needs and helping develop educators were all priorities given in a series of listening sessions held by Pearland ISD.
