Several parts of Old Town in Pearland could be upgraded in the coming years as officials prepare and finalize a revitalization plan for the area.

Friendswood ISD is looking to enforce an “away for the day” cellphone policy beginning in the 2025-26 school year, but after a discussion on April 14, the plan remains up in the air.

Clear Creek ISD’s board of trustees at its April 14 meeting approved nearly $2.5 million in additional staff for the 2025-26 school year, including 16 additional teachers and 34 paraprofessionals.

The United Postal Service Store is now open in Manvel as of early April, Mia Gonzales, a UPS communications and public relations representative said in an email April 9.

Batteries Plus held its grand opening in mid-March, store manager Desmond Antoine told Community Impact April 10.
