The Montgomery ISD community is invited to ask questions and hear presentations on key topics at the district’s upcoming town hall Oct. 26.

A new Target location that has been under construction since June 2022 is now open in New Caney, according to a representative for marketing firm Ketchum.

Montgomery ISD trustees approved the district’s junior high and high school class selection guides—which feature new offerings, such as American Sign Language and oil and gas production—on Oct. 17.

Hope’s Path—a nonprofit devoted to helping young men who have aged out of the foster care system—is working to raise money for a triplex home project in the Spring area.

On Oct. 17, Montgomery ISD leaders provided an update on several 2022 bond projects, including the district’s career and technology and agricultural science centers, which are expected to go out for bid in early 2024.

After voicing concerns in early October, Spring ISD trustees unanimously voted to reduce $5 million in committed fund balance moneys Oct. 17 in light of the district’s $25.4 million budget deficit.
