A groundbreaking ceremony was held on June 18 for New Caney ISD’s Highlands Middle School, said Scott Powers, the district’s executive director of public relations.

Family-owned food truck A Lil’ This A Lil’ That is now operating in Humble, owner Joycelin Hunter-Scott confirmed June 12.

The store will remain open during the remodel, which is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 15.

Humble will invest nearly $3.5 million in water and sewer projects after Humble City Council approved the initiatives during the June 12 meeting.

Playgrounds at 23 Spring ISD elementary schools will receive upgrades beginning this fall totaling $2.2 million, district leaders said in a June 12 email.
