Spring-area businesses have proven to be resilient during the ongoing pandemic, local stakeholders said, and the economy has begun recovering even as inflation, labor shortages and supply chain issues remain.

Spring ISD’s budget for the 2023 fiscal year—which was unanimously approved by trustees on June 14—saw a $5.4 million increase in general fund dollars being dedicated to instructional costs.

Here are a few events and things to do in the Spring and Klein area throughout June and July.

On June 14, Spring ISD announced 11 new campus principals and administrators, most of whom were already employed by the district.

The spa specializes in massage, including deep-tissue and Swedish, as well as facials and body hair removal.

Located at 2174 Spring Stuebner Road, Ste. 370, Spring, Yi Cha serves hot and iced coffee as well as tea drinks, smoothies and frappes.

Following the May 24 Uvalde school shooting, Harris County Commissioners discussed gun violence and school safety, requesting a report on county youth gun violence and creating the Harris County Safe Schools Commission on June 14.

The gym will be located at 4425 FM 1960 W., Houston.

About 150 students have opted to attend Momentum in the fall semester of the 2022-23 school year, according to the news release.

Families do not have to apply, register or provide identification to participate in the summer meal program.
