Fort Bend County Health & Human Services reported 424 new coronavirus cases Sept. 18-24.

Council members voted to set the 2020-21 Missouri City tax rate at $0.598035 per $100 valuation, which will support a $151.5 million city budget.

“I feel like we’re an upbeat Southern concept,” Director of Operations Justin Yoakum said. “So we have a bunch of really cool twists on Southern favorites.”

The Fort Bend ISD board of trustees adopted a tax rate of $1.2402 per $100 valuation for fiscal year 2020-21, nearly $0.03 less than the FY 2019-20 tax rate.

The median enhancements are phase one of a three-part citywide beatufication project.

While 43% of LCISD students are Hispanic and 27% are white, LCISD teachers are 19.5% Hispanic and 61.3% white.
