United said it will fly 3,500 daily domestic flights in December, which is the most since the start of the pandemic.

In a memo from CEO Scott Kirby and President Brett Hart, said the vaccination requirement was a “historic achievement” for the airline.

In January, Chicago-based United launched the “Travel Ready Center,” where travelers can upload testing and vaccination records for domestic and international travel.

The vaccination mandate for all employees differs from current policies at American Airlines and Delta Air Lines.

The move affects about 2,000 workers nationwide — including about 600 in Houston — but the third-party companies United is hiring plan to keep many of those employees.

Puttshack, an indoor mini-golf/restaurant/bar concept, will expand to Houston next year. It will be the company’s first Texas location.
