Katy officials approved a rezoning request for a mixed-use district near the northwest corner of Morton Road and Katy Hockley Cut-Off Road amid resident concern.

At an Oct. 8 meeting, Fort Bend County commissioners approved creating the director of government relations position, who will serve as a liaison for the county’s state and federal legislative interests and priorities.
