Incumbent Matt Schiel and Lonnell Graham are running for Position 5 on the Tomball ISD board of trustees.

Alongside several city festivals and the Tomball Holiday Parade, the Tomball German Festival Christmas Market is the latest holiday event to be canceled in Tomball.

According to 2019-20 data from the Texas Education Agency, seven of 15 Magnolia ISD campuses had more than 50% of students considered economically disadvantaged, meaning they are eligible for free or reduced-price meals.

Tomball ISD, considered a fast-growth district, has seen its enrollment grow more than 22% since the 2016-17 school year, as Magnolia ISD has added more than 500 students in that time, growing 4%.
