Woodland Lane Ceramics celebrated its first anniversary in July.

The Harris County Toll Road Authority has announced a total closure of the north- and southbound lanes on the Tomball Tollway—the tolled portion of Hwy. 249—near the Grand Parkway from Aug. 5-8. 

The Little Gym will open Aug. 13 with an open house event at 28469 Hwy. 249, Ste. 8, Tomball.

Montgomery ISD administration is eyeing a potential site for elementary school No. 7 off FM 2854 after the board of trustees authorized the district to move forward with the due diligence phase for the site during a special meeting July 26.

Precinct 2, the H-GAC and the Texas Department of Transportation have been working on the study to analyze mobility issues and recommend projects across Precinct 2 to improve safety and mobility, according to H-GAC information. 

Year-over-year data shows more homes were sold from June 2021-May 2022 than the previous 12 months in Magnolia ZIP codes, which also saw homes spending less time on the market on average over that time.

Year over year, the average home sales price in Conroe and Montgomery increased in all ZIP codes from June 2020-May 2021 to June 2021-May 2022.

Montgomery ISD students in grades 3-8 performed above state averages in reading and math—and better than district scores in 2021—for each subject area besides eighth grade math.

The Texas Department of Transportation is widening FM 1097 in Willis between Anderson Road and Lake Conroe Hills Drive.

Developers in the Conroe area said homebuyers are demanding smaller lots to keep homes affordable and more manageable to maintain.
