Klein ISD Superintendent Jenny McGown said some school buildings faced “minimal” damage during the winter storm.

Although Centerpoint has restored power for a majority of customers, outages continue, as well as boil water notices and other winter weather measures.

Due to widespread power outages in the Greater Houston area, Klein ISD has canceled remote learning and working for students and staff on Feb. 16, district officials announced Feb. 15.

Students may access classes online from home due to potentially hazardous road conditions.
