Village Books hosted a grand opening for the brick-and-mortar location Sept. 10.

Mozambik opened on Sept. 10. The restaurant replaced Peli Peli by The Woodlands Mall.

The renovations include a year-round, outdoor patio, newly designed bar, new wine tower, and upgrades to the decor and color palette.

Increases in the property tax base in The Woodlands area mean tax rates are not expected to increase in Conroe, Tomball or Magnolia ISDs in fiscal year 2021-22, according to their approved budgets.

During the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Conroe ISD hired more custodians, increased cleaning practices and purchased additional cleaning equipment.
