Austin developers plan resort-style condo community on Tiki Island
An Austin-based development group has acquired land to build a resort-style condominium community on Tiki Island near Galveston, the companies announced in an April 22 news release.
Legend Communities, with financial backing from Tiki Time LLC, paid an undisclosed amount to purchase the 6-acre parcel on Tiki Island, where it plans to build the Tiki Island Residences and Boathouse Resort. The community will include 75 condo units, a yacht club and a boathouse.
