Aussie Visiting Houston

Hi everyone! I'm from Sydney Australia and i'm going to be visiting Houston from November 12 til early December and I'm very excited! I'm coming on here to ask what are some of the highlights/must dos while in Houston? I want to experience everything this wonderful city has to offer in the short time I'm there. I'm in my late 20s and will be staying with my friend who was a local who I know will give me insight but I would love to hear what else there is to do.
