Attended 7/28 training camp – Awful experience

I attend Texans training camp yesterday and what a miserable and awful experience. Me and my family (2 adults 2 kids) are from Canada and decided to take in the experience and boy I wish we had not gone. Here is list of observations:

  • The fact it's not at nrg stadium is a joke, several other nfl teams have open practices in their actual stadium to make it a more comfortable experience. The titans for example, go look at their videos on social media
  • They give out way more tickets than they say, I think I read it was a 1000 tickets there's no chance it's way more, like triple it felt
  • It's impossible to spend time at the booths and kids corner and also get seating to watch practice, there's too many people so if you waste even a few minutes doing those things you lose out on seating
  • The covered seating bleachers are absolutely horrendously setup, they pack people in like sardines with barely any air flow and with the heat and people sitting so close to each other, you're insufferably hot to the point it's not safe imo, especially for kids it's not safe
  • The covered bleachers have the dumbest design possible, unless you're sitting front row, the rows above the view is obstructed with the sloping roof, what a stupid freaking design, you're having to bend down in your seat to try and improve your view, absolute bonehead design
  • The autograph hounds are out of control, total adult losers who will trample over your kids to get a 3rd string right guards autograph. And forget about the star players, it's all out war, completely uncivilized dumbasses
  • This isn't a kid friendly event, it's people who don't give two shits about the practice and just want autographs and bring 50 pieces of team gear hoping to get signed

Last thoughts…. The Texans social media team is just out there to hype this garbage up with a few staged photos and videos but it's a freaking miserable experience. I have told all my friends and family this was the worst event experience with a professional sports team I've ever been to, I am truly shocked for an NFL team like the Texans and the money the make this is what they offer the fans. If you're a civilized or family minded person who truly enjoys football and the spirit of the game and the strategy of practice, this isn't the event for you, I guarantee you will not get that experience from this.
