AT&T Fiber Outage

We’re experiencing our first Fiber outage and it seems like it is affecting the Heights and several surrounding areas. It’s been out since Friday evening. Does anyone have any information about how it gets fixed and the typical timing? They’re sending a technician out to our home on Thursday (that was the first available appointment), but I’m not sure how that’s going to fix anything since it appears to be a broader issue. I would call AT&T, but I honestly do not want to deal with their customer service.
